Brought my wife, son to Ajax’s Captains Boil and had an exceptionally positive experience. An excellent warm, welcoming from Cross (host and server) provided excellent person-centered table service made tonight’s evening special. Anything we needed, he made sure we had. Checking in and making sure all the food was excellent, which it was. We look forward to returning from Kingston—the 1.5 hour commute—for the excellent food and humble, customer-oriented values of this establishment. Thanks Cross.
Good ambience and service. The flavour and taste is just below average. Garlic bread is store bought ones. Expected a good taste and experience. Very disappointed and will not recommend.
It’s a pretty good seafood boil restaurant. We shared the shrimp and crawfish in their captain’s boil and Cajun sauce, respectively. We also had their seafood fried rice, Cajun fries, and corn. We came close to their closing time but the food still came out quickly and hot. Everything tasted great but we especially liked their fried rice. Order the maytey shrimp and muscles, which comes with corn and potatoes. Clearly the garlic is burnt. Not a lot of sauce had to ask for extra sauce. The sausage was extremely dry. Half of a corn and half of a potato cut into 2 pieces the shrimp basket was burnt had to return it. Basically, the only thing that tastes good was the fried rice. Very disappointed with this location for the 2nd time.
