We found Sam through word of mouth when traveling through Little Rock in our 1983 Vanagon. We were having some starter and idle issues and Sam welcomed us right away. He was patient and meticulous in inspecting our bus and trouble-shooting our issues. We were so lucky to find him when we needed some help! Highly recommend his shop!
If you're a vintage VW enthusiast or a new owner like I am, I highly recommend checking out The Bus Barn. Sam, the owner, is incredibly responsive and knowledgeable about vintage Volkswagens. Sam is terrific! My wife and I took our recently acquired 55 year old convertible VW Super Beetle to Sam to straighten out. The car had problems to put it mildly. Sam quickly determined all of the frontend bushings, struts, shocks, etc. were the original from the factory, so quite worn out after 55 years. In addition, he found the car had the wrong carburetor and I also asked that he put electronic ignition on it. This is just a small list of what Sam did.
