Very much enjoyed my stay at the Burlington Hotel. I arrived early and called the host who walked me through the hotel on the phone. This place made my hotel dreams come true: historic, clean, well-run... everything the traveler who wants to explore far away from the freeway is looking for in a hotel. I wish I was staying for more than one night. Thanks for everything.
This hotel has very reasonable rates, so adjusting expectations accordingly is a reasonable approach when reserving. I wasn't expecting more than I got, and was neither disappointed nor pleasantly surprised. In my experience, buildings where cats live usually have a certain smell. This hotel is no exception. A true delight. Jennifer has created a slice of magic in Alma by the Mississippi. Highly recommended stay if you’re looking for somewhere truly inspired, historic, charming, and/or cat-friendly. Drinking a Wisconsin Old Fashioned alone at the bar makes the trip worth it in itself.
Fantastic atmosphere! Must stop. Amazing owner and used to be the only place in Alma where you could get warm pretzels. Oooohhhhh they’re soooooo good!!!!!
Awful. Just awful. The rooms are very tiny. The beds are tiny. My boyfriend almost knocked himself out going up the stairs. There is no way we could both stay in the bed. His feet hung off the bed by at least a foot. It says shared bathroom. It's shared with 5 other rooms. No tv in the rooms. No fridge in room. We asked for our money back because there is no possible way we could stay and she refused to refund our money. Bad business. We walked in, saw we couldn't stay and walked back out for 94.00.
