At first glance it is a quaint dated manor. Once I got inside it smelled moldy. Our second room in an adjacent building, appeared recently slept in and definitely not ready for guests. Spoke with house attendant, absolutely horrible. Left immediately and drove 3 Hours back home. Booked through booking. Com and totally got robbed. No ready room no refund, no thanks.
It's a far cry from what it was when Gale and Marty (RIP) were here. There is no one to greet you or deal with any needs you may have. Its more like a contactless air B and B. Which is fine, but that's not how it's advertised on the website. There were missing lightbulbs and remotes. There were no curtains on the windows so privacy is an issue. DO NOT STAY HERE! Unless new management and you’re guaranteed onsite host/hostess. Although the location is beautiful and we truly appreciate all the kindness the owner/contact showed us, we are horribly disappointed in the condition of our bathroom and the fact that there has been no Housekeeping service there even yet today. We are going to have to fend for ourselves regarding toilet paper and the breakfast area still has not been filled, even after contacting owner and promised it would be. We booked this bed and breakfast for a weekend marriage conference. Before arriving we were called and told that they had to move our room to the carriage house due to a septic issue with the main manor. The carriage house is a smaller building on the property. Upon arriving it felt a bit run down overall. We entered our room on the second floor of the carriage house. It was small but quaint and what we needed.
