I'm so disappointed with The Bristal. They had evaluated my dad and reassured us countless times that he would be a good fit for the community. Upon moving him in, they almost immediately were unable to work with him. He was agitated and instead of allowing him time to adjust and giving him some extra care, they continuously sent him to the hospital saying they could not deal with him. He probably stayed at the Bristal for a total of 36 hours. They did absolutely nothing for him.
The Bristal at Lake Success for memory care services has made a huge difference in my aunt’s life. She seems to thrive there, as life is ‘full’ at the Bristal. They have a plethora of activities scheduled every single day, a non- alcoholic ‘Happy Hour’ for the residents a few times a week, varied and vast dining offerings, bus trips in the nicer weather months, and a whole lot of attention and care, be it emotional, medical, or simply ‘fun’ attention.
