Updated: The breast center, as well as Valley Medical Patient Relations followed up with me. The Breast Center and was able to get me a DEXA slot only about a week later. ---------- original post ------------ Valley Medical Breast Center scheduled my DEXA scan and it was about 6 weeks out. They cancelled it with 4 hours of notice saying they did not have all the stuff from my regular doctors office to do it. The next appointment was 10 weeks out. Valley Medical Breast Center scheduled my DEXA scan and it was about 6 weeks out. They cancelled it with 4 hours of notice saying they did not have all the stuff from my regular doctors office to do it. The next appointment was 10 weeks out. If they had let me know with even a few days I could have sorted this out. In fact my doctor did say that they had sent the information over, so it was just some kind of small mixup. Final confirmation that my appointment was cancelled was at 7 am for an 8:45 appointment.
Been coming here for years and have always had a pleasant experience. It has a slight spa-like feel. The staff and nurses are super kind and helpful, and my appointments are always pretty quick! There is often a long wait to get called back for imaging, but I don’t know what factors play into that. I highly recommend this clinic!
