2025 update: If you’ve never stayed here previously, you’ll probably enjoy it. But if you have stayed before, be aware that some things have changed. - the breakfast, which we always looked forward to, is no longer included - a 100% deposit is required year-round - the HVAC does not work and we were provided with space heaters, which is not a luxury look - they added $5 per night for housekeeping gratuity. We stayed at this charming hotel in Narragansett last weekend for a wedding in the area. We very much enjoyed staying at this small hotel a block off The ocean. Some of the charming touches were a water/seltzer/hot water station in the hallway on each floor along with a cookie jar filled nightly with homemade snickerdoodles. Being October, The ceiling top bar/restaurant space was not open, But we were able to go up and look at it, and it seemed like an amazing place to spend a summer evening. Beautiful, quiet hotel. I only wish we had been able to take advantage of the micro spa. We reached out well before our stay as requested and never heard back. No one at the Break even asked about the requested spa service that was showing on our reservation to see if we were taken care of. It is not clear to customers that the bar/bistro and spa are not managed by The Break.
Great hotel experience. Awesome room and amenities. The rooftop bar is great and location is fun for walking and biking to explore this beautiful area.
It’s unclear to me how this is a 4 star hotel. Thin walls allowed us to hear the neighbors TV all night- while our TV would only play anything at all if we input our personal Apple ID. On Tuesday, the bar and restaurant are apparently closed- we would have preferred to know this prior to booking. The shower was cold until scalding, the coffee maker a Keurig. All in all, our stay was less than good.
