This restaurant is weirdly awful. Sandwiches are super mediocre and stale. The staff has no idea how to take orders or serve which customers are in line first. The owner appears to just lurk about the place without any guidance towards their staff. One of the Cubano sandwiches had so much mayo it was inedible. Better off going to Subway!
*I will edit this review if the business decides to list prices* The sandwich I got was good, the staff was nice enough despite being busy, and the wait wasn't long. But there are no prices to be found anywhere. Not for the sandwiches, not for the drinks, not for the chips. I find this unacceptable. Nobody wants to ask "how much is this? an how about that? and that? and this?" And of course, all the stuff is pretty expensive.
Tried The Brass Bear Delicatessen and really enjoyed the experience! The food was fresh, flavorful, and had that comforting deli-style quality that’s hard to find sometimes. Portions were good, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, and the staff were super friendly the whole time. Great spot for sandwiches, quick bites, or just a relaxed meal. Definitely a place I’d come back to again!
When I’m out of town I actually dream about the brass bear tuna salad sandwich with everything on a sourdough roll. Every time someone comes to the Bay Area for the first time i take them here. The best.
I’m new to the Lamorinda area and a lot of the options for delivery are not what I’m accustomed to in the big city, I saw this deli and wanted to give it a try and was absolutely blown away. I’m only picturing half of the sandwich because I devoured the other half and rapid time. The turkey is delicious the bread is excellent and you could tell.
