Told me years ago, after a 1/2 assed 2 hr assessment, that I am not autistic, that I have adhd. I recently got a full, actual, assessment through Livingrite in Sycamore (took 10 hours and involved my wife filling out assessments about me also) and am now diagnosed as mild/moderate autism spectrum disorder. The Dr. in Sycamore specifically said I show little to no signs of adhd. Save your time and $ and go somewhere that actually does their job properly.
I went to Brandi Boan years ago for an autism assessment and I'm still thrown over what she did and how she acted to this day. She is genuinely a hazard to people with autism / ADHD. I went for an autism assessment, she took my assessment and forwarded it to my then doctor saying I didn't have ADHD which A) My main doctor was not involved in this at all and she knew that and B) I was not there for an ADHD assessment. “Dr. Boan flat out refused to test against the diagnostic criteria for the inquired condition. Very arrogantly confident about her outdated knowledge on neurodivergence, unprofessional, and racist. Does not believe high masking low support needs adults deserve a diagnosis reducing the higher rate of diagnoses to being “frivolously handed out by free/inexperienced learning centers”.
