Cafe review: Got Shaved Brussels Salad takeout today, it was disappointing, flavor was too tangy and the pecans and bacon were chewy. I was expecting more hearty greens like Brussels but it was mostly lettuce, didn’t have a great texture. 3 stars. Previously I got the Italian sandwich, that was better, 3.5- 4 stars. On the Downtown Mall, Tillmans, rev soup, Fitzroy, the wich lab (takeout sandwiches only), have salads and sandwiches at a similar price point that have always been 5 stars for me, and I’ve gone many times. VENUE! So cool. Converted bank creates a very nice atmosphere. I conduct many of my lunches or coffee talks here. The chef is always on point for a nice lunch that is never too much or too little. Quest: Write to an acquaintance or someone you got their business card from and take them out for a coffee. Block off 45min-hour and just be in the space with this person you barely know. Make the world friendly, one cup of coffee at a time!

Lovely location with quality food and coffee! I’ll definitely be back to try something different - many options. Beautiful building - open and quiet breakfast spot. Very attentive - super pleasant barista. Delicious latte, could have been 10 degrees hotter but flavor very smooth. Had two really good pastries. I appreciate that they are nice sized! A strawberry rhubarb turnover and cranberry crumb cake. Both delicious. Will be back to try the pizza in the brick oven.
Order was forgotten, when reminded it was served at room temp, coffee was burnt, and portions were tiny for the price. However, the venue is beautiful and the food we saw looked appetizing.
