I took part in a writers workshop at The Bowers House last month and was delighted with the warm atmosphere, the friendliness and efficiency of the staff, and the comfort and cleanliness of the room I slept in. In fact, I enjoyed it so much, I agreed to conduct a memoirs-writing workshop there next month 5/18-21/2023. The food was yummy, too!
There is no review that can do this wonderful place justice. From the moment you step through these historic doors you feel it, an invitation to come in and be no matter what artistic endeavor you are sharing here. My band The Trilby Brothers came here for a production of Bowers Hour, a music retreat, the magic of this place and the magic of Charlie Read’s vision lighting a spark in us, me especially, as my songwriting had hit something of a wall lately. Like visiting your SoulGrandmother & SoulGrandfather who love you just for being who you are, & who have your favorite cousins staying whose personalities complement your own, & you get to create a fairy world, create & create, & are fed foods of the gods! Heavenly home away from home!
