DO Not take your engine here!!! They charged us 250.00 to give out outboard motor a tune up. Remove the shifting pin and replace because we could not get it to go into reverse. Also was not working properly when giving speed I forward. They swear that the guy that worked on it (the boss) got it to work properly. They never removed the bottom end to realign the gears for shifting. Brought a Johnson 150 HP in for service. Had intermittent surging at wide open throttle but backing off throttle would eliminate problem. "Mechanic" noted 2 warped carburetor bowls (plastic). All six carburetors needed new bowls. Left boat and called 2 weeks later...he could not get parts so I ordered them from Amazon and delivered them to Boat Doctor. This place is a joke! We have taken our 2019 boat here the past 2 summers and both summers it was returned to us with a dead battery. This past weekend was the worst- when we took the boat to them in September for winter storage and maintenance, we told them that our "Service Engine" light was on. They said they would fix it. When we picked up our boat 9 months later- Memorial Day weekend- we got the boat in the water, went to start it, and not only was the battery dead AGAIN (like it was last summer after being in their car... read more
