I lived here a few years back, and thought I should write a review. This is easily one of the best places to live in Hyde Park. The building is well maintained, management is friendly and responsive, rent is very fair, and the location is great.
Multiple washers and dryers are still broken even after MONTHS of maintenance requests. Grocery deliveries have been left rotting and stinking in the chaotic mailroom full of misdelivered packages. Recent pest issues on my floor too. Maintenance staff are nice people but Mac itself is absolute garbage and refuses to maintain a suitable living environment for residents. Mac staff gaslighted and lied to residents every time the building AC broke this summer- at least a DOZEN times in a couple months. They fired our front desk ... read more
My time here started out fine but over the last 6 months, Mac has tried to cut corners while continuing to raise prices. They responded to a slew of package thefts by washing their hands off the problem and shutting down the front desk altogether. The laundry room is a special kind of nightmare where only about half the machines work at any given time, while the price to use it keeps going up.
