My favorite restaurant in Blacksburg! My family lives in the area and every time I visit I insist we visit the Blacksburg Tavern. The owner always checks in with customers - and is clearly committed to providing a quality southern dining experience. We love the family style options, and the fried chicken is unsurpassed in taste. The side dishes and Meatloaf are outstanding, plus the Ham Biscuits are are recommended. The setting and ambiance are homey and relaxing - like a family dinner. This place is highly recommended!
Great establishment and the food is wonderful every time
Great food. Service was also very good and the old house atmosphere was nice. We sat outside on the front porch for lunch. Highly recommend.
What a fantastic experience! Felt like I was transported to old Appalachia in this beautiful restaurant with rich history, art, and music. It was great to be greeted by the owner. The food was delicious! Can’t wait to return!
We were greeted by the owner who quickly seated us in a lovely room. The server was prompt, polite, and attentive. Our entrees were served hot and the portions were generous. We thoroughly enjoyed the meatloaf and vegetable entrees. Delicious Southern comfort food!
