We went through The Black Tux for our wedding, purchasing a suit for the groom (that order went fine) and renting suits for the groomsmen. We ordered 4 rentals, and each person had to send back at least one item for a replacement due to incorrect sizes sent. We also had two groomsmen who returned their suits, but were then charged as if they had not; when they reached out to question this, they were told it was just a mistake on the stores end, and the charge was luckily reversed, but this made us wonder how many other peopl... read more
Staff at showroom were friendly and helpful. Quality of suits at the showroom are higher quality than what is received come event time. I received the first order, nothing fit like it had in the original fitting. Re-ordered another in the next size up and it fit like hand-me-downs. Order showed up too close to the event date to get alterations or order a third time. Customer service took 30+ mins to connect with a person and they did nothing hut “escalate” my concerns. The WORST!! .. Used this company for a suit needed for my husband. The suit, being of poor quality, including threads hanging from its seams, arrived in a wrinkly ball. When I contacted The Black Tux we were told to hang it up (As if that was going to work, NOT!) if we chose to have it pressed, we could send them a copy of the bill ; however, they only reimburse $15.00 for the service!!! I'm not sure who does their pressing, but no one is getting a suit and shirt pressed for $15.00 in Boston! LOL.... The suit and shirt looke... read more
Communication went from “our availability for appointments for your party is this time on this date in one email to… we cannot accommodate your party size of 6 individuals on this date” in the next email. Incredibly disappointed by the communication of service and was looking forward to utilizing the Black Tux for the big day. Multiple locations appeared to have been closed within the last year, coupled with the inability to accommodate wedding parties is a major downfall.
