This review is a little delayed as our baby girl is 3 weeks old but still wanted to take a moment and express our gratitude for the staff at Duke Regional labor and delivery unit. We arrived at Duke for induction and were given a warm welcome by the many women sitting at the front of L&D. Our initial day nurses were Sarah Ann and Emma Konrad. Every single nurse, doctor, and staff member was friendly and caring. Just had my baby via c section and had the most relaxing stress free experience at this hospital!
I see all these bad reviews & I honestly think it all depends on your team of nurses & doctors. I had my baby on 12/20 & had such a great group of nurses & grateful for my doctor’s office & the doctor that delivered my baby. Despite my birth plan not being 100% what I planned, they made my experience as positive as possible & made sure I was as comfortable as I could be throughout the entire process.
I want to start off by saying, if you are locally near DUKE REGIONAL HOSPITAL and you are pregnant, I highly advice you come here! It is the most amazing environment to have your little one in. My girlfriend and I are new parents with an almost 2 week old baby. We decided to go to Duke Regional for labor and delivery. We will continue to go to Duke for every child we have. My daughters labor and delivery experience and family experience was absolutely amazing! It was the closest thing having a baby in your home. That's how comfortable the midwife and nurses made us all feel. My daughter is young however she was treated with the utmost respect and care. The midwife Amber bonded with her instantly. When my daughter was ready for pain meds then an epidural they were in the room within 5-10 mins administering the meds.
