A Profoundly Dysregulating and Unsafe Experience My recent experience at The Birth Center was profoundly negative and deeply concerning. I arrived expecting to see a trusted provider, Karen West, but was unexpectedly switched to Dawn Moore without any prior notice. I had a great experience even though I had to deliver at the hospital because of GD, all the midwives and nurses did an amazing job. My prenatal care was excellent . Special shout out to Barbara and Dawn, thank you for everything !
Do not I repeat do not come here if you are a first time mom! I was seen by the practice for my whole pregnancy, I was told everything is going to be fine to stop worrying and to eat better cus that’s why I don’t feel good let me mention I was throwing up every single day my last trimester but apparently eating vegetables should fix that, I had nothing left in me by the time the labor came around. I can not sing enough praises for this practice. My pregnancy and labor experiences (though I did end up transferring to Christiana hospital to deliver) were top notch, the lactation consultant I met with multiple times after giving birth was an absolute godsend and saved my sanity, and the well woman care I've received here since has been flawless. The midwives are all lovely, they read your chart before they're in the room with you and they take the time to hear you out and don't rush you through your visit. They ask thoug... read more
Nothing compares to the level of care at the birth center. The midwives take their time with you and answer all your questions. You don’t feel like just a number and you feel heard. They have on call after hours if you have any questions or concerns and I find this very comforting, a lot of offices do not do this anymore. Everyone at the front desk are so nice And friendly. The environment is very peaceful and relaxing. I just love it here!
