I do not know anything about the birches, other than my cousin has said my aunt is happy there. On our Thanksgiving call, she told me the birches is a Covid-19 HOTSPOT. She sent me the birches e-mail dated November 27 and said the first case was found in October. You say 35 of your 70 residents and 19 of your team members have tested positive for Covid-19. Great staff including the friendly front desk ladies, the physical therapists, the chef, and the wait staff. Kim is a phenomenal nurse who lights up the room and takes such good care of my mom. The living room is so homey with its fire place and comfortable couches. Every area is clean and well maintained. Couldn't have asked for a better place for my mom to be when she couldn't live at home anymore.
My parents lived at The Birches for over 3 years, until they both passed away this year. My dad frequently said we couldn’t have found a better place for them to spend their final years than The Birches, and he was right. From management, to the activities staff, nurses and RAs, waitresses and cooks, maintenance staff, housekeeping, and probably others I’m forgetting, everyone treated them well and always had their best interests in mind.
