YES! YES! YES!! This place!! Let’s just say I’ve had terrible customer service from another very popular bike shop in Waipio. Zero callbacks or updates on my repairs and parts that I’m waiting on. Not these guys! OMG! I brought my bike in with a part to install. I had to order the part myself because the other shop never called me to let me know that it was back ordered until September and I had a look somewhere else. Came in to buy some tubes. Told the afro-haired kid my tire size and how many I needed. I checked out, and as I was leaving, the kid just stood there staring at me. Then one of the mechanics walked over to my bike and asked if it was mine(I didn't need help to that)... Well, if you'd been paying attention, you'd have noticed I walked in with it. I said, "Yeah," and walked out. Then they're both staring at me as I left. Weird vibe.
Huge shout out to The Bike Shop. They perfectly prepared and pack my two bikes fir shipment back to the east coast. I couldn't be happier with the customer service and knowledge that this fantastic local bike shop has shown me. Thank you and Malaho!!!
Its taken me a while to get to this review. but I had a ebike that was defectively made from the manufacturer with all types of electronic issues. the manufacturer had no repair centers locally and subsequently went bankrupt, which left me with no service resources. Ebikes hawaii would not service any bike they didn't sell and otherwise seemed unhelpful. the bike factory in waipio had the bike for three months and made it such that it didnt' work at all and would not put the bike back the way it was when it came in. Came in and had a tube replaced. Got home and the tire was flat less than an hour later. Took the bike back in and they said they would fix it no problem. Go to pick up the bike and they tried to charge me a second time. When trying to explain to the employee that I just paid to have it fixed and tell him the situation, he got an attitude with me and was calling me disrespectful names. I had to tell him not to speak to me like that and get someone else to talk to. 0/5 stars for how they treat customers!
