Stayed on the 1/1/26 on our way up to a 21st in Brisbane. Room was around $450 - room 20. Shower walls had hair strands attached from previous tenants. Extremely dated. Carpet was nothing short of disgusting - none of us walked on the carpet without shoes or showered without footwear. This room is well overdue for a complete refurbishment. Linen was clean and beds were comfortable. TV remote was dead - had to use batteries from air con remote to use TV. The Coffs Windmill Hotel offers reasonably priced accommodation in a convenient location, close to popular attractions and the main town centre, making it ideal for a short stay. While the property is quite dated, it is kept reasonably clean. I did hear another guest raising concerns about cleanliness during check-in, but I personally didn’t notice any major issues beyond the age of the place. Wasn’t too bad of a stay overall, but a few things got to me. Booked for 4 in a room that was made to sleep 4, with a king bed, single bed, and sofa bed. Lounge didn’t fold out and was only given towels for 3 people. Lucky I have small kids who could share. Then after dinner went to go for a swim when I saw pool closes at 7pm! What sort of motel has a pool that closes that early?? Got half hour of a swim in thankfully, but felt rushed.
