Prime location with ocean views. Rooms are dated but fine. Basic kitchen, small lounge area, a bathroom / laundry, & ducted air. The one failing was cleanliness, particularly the floor. Could not walk on the floor without our feet turning black. Had to sweep & mop myself to on day one to rectify the issue.
When we arrived it appeared that only the sheets had been changed on the bed. Cleaning hadn't been done, the loo was filthy, dirty dishes in cupboard, bathroom hadn't been restocked etc. The lovely receptionist immediately put us in another apartment which appeared to have been cleaned but the entire complex is old and tired. We were very disappointed.
Friendly , helpful staff. Great ocean views from our balcony- we enjoyed watching whales frolicking every day. Close to beach, shops, surf club. We have stayed here before and will come back again. Thankyou Beach Retreat for an enjoyable stay.
