Ellie was a dream come true. It is so hard to find a midwife that respects all your wishes & desires when it comes to homebirth but Ellie was that rare gem. She supported us through the whole process, giving us our options and suggestions without pressuring us so we could make our own informed decisions. It was wonderful. Our family had a wonderful experience with Ellie's help at The Bastrop Birthing Center. It's been 4 years since our daughter was born and I can look back on it satisfied that it was done well. Ellie is caring and knowledgeable. Mine was a VBAC and I knew we were in good hands and trusted her to help manage the delivery of my daughter. I can’t begin to express my gratitude! We had a horrible experience with a new OBGYN since mine no longer birthed babies. Then we found Ellie! I had zero confidence in myself and wasn’t even considering an out of hospital, unmedicated birth. Then we found Ellie! Rather than getting the generic “you’re pregnant, get over it” response from our OBGYN, we opted for Ellie’s “what can we do to make you feel better” responses. I love the birth center! I have gotten such great care for each pregnancy from the midwives. Don't hesitate to reach out for more information. I recommend doing this early into pregnancy so you can secure your due date with the team. The center is also beautiful and extremely comforting.
