I bought an expensive Fender custom shop bass from Dennis at the Bass Place. Though expensive, it was on sale and an excellent deal considering the high list price and waiting times for FCS instruments. The bass was extremely well packed and signature required delivery ensured that it reached me safely. I don't know if The Bass Place or FCS did the final set up, but it is perfect! I can't recommend this place enough! I've used them for years for setups and repairs, and I've never had a problem, needed anything redone, or had to complain The service is always stellar! I just got a bass back, and I had brought along strings for the setup. They ended up not fitting, but The Bass Place had a set that fit a pretty obscure set of requirements (scale length and string number) on-hand, so me providing the wrong strings didn't delay my bass getting back to me at all!
