I was considering a used bass guitar, brought it to them. They played it, analyzed it and told me what they thought I should pay. Brilliant service!
Store is small and cozy, very friendly staff. Able to get short scale strings and guitar stand. Great prices and no pressure sales. Will go back to store for supplies. Store a little hard to find, no sign outside. Look for bass clef sign on window front.

I bought an expensive Fender custom shop bass from Dennis at the Bass Place. Though expensive, it was on sale and an excellent deal considering the high list price and waiting times for FCS instruments. The bass was extremely well packed and signature required delivery ensured that it reached me safely. I don't know if The Bass Place or FCS did the final set up, but it is perfect! I've bought and sold dozens of nice basses but this is the first time I haven't had to touch the truss rod or bridge saddles. Perfect set up! Hope... read more
