nice... I went here for a birthday and it had a sweet atmosphere. Them menu was nice though it had a lot of seafood which I am not too fond off. However my date had a cioppino and I had a basic pasta dish and we were both happy. Its a cute restaurant in a nice location. I would definitely go back to try it again.
there is a lot of bang for your buck great food & service i will go back
Great place to sit outside and relax and watch the town people and cars go by. Sip some red wine and enjoy.
Horrible customer relations – I won't eat at Basil Leaf again because of a weird and very disappointing experience with the management. After finishing lunch, I left my camera sitting on the table. Some minutes later, I realized this and returned to find my camera missing. Of course, "gone missing" is a frequent fate of cameras and is hardly unusual, but there were very few customers in the restaurant at that time. When I returned later to ask about the camera, the hostess/manager was entirely disinterested in my questions f... read more
Best Place In Town – I have gone here for several meals in the past year. This place continues to get better and is 20 times better than Danville Grille and other high rated restaurants. It has a nice italian/elegant feel and the place is decorated well. The people who work there are all very nice. If they ever mess up your order or you are unhappy with a meal, they will gladly give you a free meal or dessert. Even at night when the place is busy, I am sitted in 2-5 minutes at the most. They are know when you need water(wond... read more
liked it – I had lunch there yesterday and it was pretty nice. Service wasn't super fast but we got plenty of attention. The food was quite good. I had a 1/2 sandwich and soup and couldn't finish the soup. I'll have to try dinner sometime.
Charming Italian cafe disappoints – Had lunch here on weekday; probably would not go back there again. The service was poor (couldn't find host to seat us, server didn't come for over 15 minutes, service was slow, water glasses rarely refilled). Not all the ingredients of each dish are listed on the menu and when we asked about what was in certain dishes we later found out that he had left out some of the ingredients, so if you have any food allergies or aversions, ask about that particular food because they may not tell you... read more
Love their brunch – I always enjoy going there. Try them for brunch on Sundays. My out of town friends love this place. We HAVE TO go here every time they are visiting. Very friendly and professional staff.
It was allright – Wife and I went to Basil Leaf for a early Sunday Dinner. Were seated promptly in an outdoor table of our choosing. Even though the menu had an insert for the "special", no special was available due to a "lack of mangos". I would submit that a supermarket would carry a sufficient quantity of mangos to hold them until Monday. A tad on the pricey side, but hey, it's Danville. My tortelini was good, but overpriced for tortellini that was borderline Digiornio. Sauce was tasty, but found the prosciutto to be "chu... read more
