I’ve been going to Axel since 2016, following him until he finally ended up owning his own shop here at The Basics. I moved to San Jose for 3 years, and still came back to Citrus Heights routinely for Axel to cut me. Top tier service, wonderful hospitality and conversation. Literally everything you could possibly ask for and more out of a barber shop.

The barbers here go above and beyond what’s expected and at a very reasonable price. I always feel more confident after leaving their shop. Eddie is who I try to always get as my barber but if he’s not available, I know I can trust any of the other barbers to take care of me. I highly recommend this place

I’ve been to a lot of barbershops, but The Basics Barbershop truly stands out! The atmosphere is welcoming, clean, and professional. I had the pleasure of getting a cut from PradoBlends, and he absolutely nailed it. His attention to detail, precision, and skill are top-notch. You can tell he takes real pride in his craft. If you’re looking for a barber who knows how to give a sharp, clean cut every time, Prado is your guy. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a fresh cut in a great environment!

Ended up booking an appointment that wasn't honored even after re-confirming my appointment in the morning with the barber less than 1 hour from my slot. Owner was there and didn't offer any type of solution. You can't waste people's time like that.
