I was visiting Barnes with my kids to explore the lovely Wetlands site, and my 15-year-old discovered this amazing café-bakery on Instagram, The Base, right in the heart of the village. OMG, what a find! The place is beautiful, the food absolutely delicious, and the prices are great value. I wish we had somewhere like this where I live! The friendly waiter told us that all the breads and cakes are made in-house, and even their coffee is roasted on-site. You can really taste the difference. Often pop here for breakfast or lunch for the office, pre order on phone. Food is always freshly made, and tasty and a good price for the quality of the food supplied.
This place is so over priced it’s not even funny! Food is average.
Went to The Base yesterday for the first time, lovely staff and the food was great. Brilliant range of items to choose from. I had the smashed avocado and wasn’t disappointed; absolutely beautiful.
Love this place. My wife and I come here on our days off for some fantastic food and lovely drinks. An amazing place to chill and enjoy some time enjoying healthy food. The staff are the best and make you feel like you are part of the family.
