Stayed here for a wedding on June 27. Barrhead doesn't exactly have a ton of hotel options, so we knew what we were getting. We just needed a place to sleep for the night. The other venue option was a camp ground which flooded and cancelled all reservations. The hotel is definitely older and could use some updating. There were stains on the carpet and walls, but honestly, that wasn't even my biggest issue. When we arrived, we rang the front desk bell... nothing. Stayed at this hotel in late May. The first room, the TV didn’t work and when we called the desk clerk in to look at it, we found dried food on the floor, so asked for a new clean room or our money back. We got another room which wasn’t much cleaner, lots of hair in the tub and then we noticed that there was no smoke detector in the room. Would never stay there again it was disgusting.
