We got married on September 14th of this year, and to say it was perfect was an understatement. Annette and her husband have created the most beautiful, thoughtful venue I've ever been to. Annette took care of EVERYTHING. She was on top of everything from the second we signed our contract. Annette and Mike were wonderful hosts leading up to and on the big wedding day. Their property is beautiful and we appreciated them opening up Mother’s Day weekend for our big day. Their recommended vendor list is EXCELLENT. Annette’s day of coordination was well worth it and she worked extremely well with all the vendors to make sure our day went down without one single hitch. My wife and I recommend THE BARN AT SECOND WIND to anyone looking to host a special event.
I had my wedding here in August and although the wedding venue is beautiful, working with Annette and her husband is not. There were many trials and tribulations working with the pair who also lived on the property. The first issue we had was Annette micromanaging every little detail that did not concern her. She had interfered with my wedding decorator as well as restaurant on multiple occasions. She personally spoke to my restaurant insurance to seek out guest information and contacted me telling me we were over capacity. ... read more
We had a lovely weeding here over the summer! Our guests were all from out of town and completely taken back by how beautiful our space was. We had oyster shuckers for cocktail hour and a waffle truck for dessert. We loved that we could easily bring in our vendors. Anette (owner) was so helpful and just beyond sweet and fun to work with. We definitely recommend and look forward to visiting over the years as we hit new milestones 🙏🏾🥰
