We loved having our wedding at The Barn at Five Lakes Resort in 2023! We stayed the weekend at the resort with our wedding party and most of our family (the cabins are rustic) but the main house worked great for us to get ready in and use as a “hub” for the weekend! I just noticed 5 years later, it appears my comment was removed, although the rating stayed up. This place left a sour taste in my mouth with our parking debacle. It was not clearly designated where to drive or park, so we pull through to an area where there were other cars, only to be accosted by a gentleman basically telling the driver he was stupid. My wife and I chose to get married here back in 2016 - To this day our friends and family still talk about how much fun the wedding was. We did the food tasting with them. We did request a couple of minor changes to the food and they were very easy to work with. The day of the wedding the food was great! The barn overall was beautiful as well as the ground surround it. The coordinator was very helpful through the planning and wedding day! She gave lots of ideas and her opinion was very much appreciated. We did a tasting to narrow down what we wanted our meals to be for the day and when we tasted the food it was phenomenal. But unfortunately, when the actually wedding day came my chicken lacked sauce/dry and heard from several guest and groom that the walleye was flavorless.
