You go to a beer bar for the beer. This pub has a great selection, knowledgeable people, frequent special events such as firkins, new local beer releases, etc. Other than beer, it has a very attractive building and a great view of the lake. The weaknesses are atmosphere (little decoration, less character, and a pointless array of silent TV screens), general noise, and its modest selection of food. It's a bit pricey too. Excellent Food and Service! My husband took me here for a special dinner and we were impressed. While we were there we sampled several beers and had a great meal! No complaints.
Although the beer selection was superb...the place seemed cold and uptight. Service wise, there is none. If you're looking for somewhere to be waited on, look elsewhere. Knowledgable bartenders, somewhat courteous, high end, not an everyday kind of bar; special occasions perhaps.
