It truly felt like stepping back in time. We absolutely loved the charm, character, and timeless aesthetic.
Nice place. In the past, has been far more expensive but we found a room for under $200 and had been wanting to try this place for years! The room was very nice, but limited places to hang towels, bathroom door blocked the sink, no plugs for phones, no blackout shade for window, and very limited AC and lighting in common rooms downstairs.. Hello we opted to stay at this hotel because of the rating reviews. However, Our stay was just OK. First of all the water in the shower, took about 10 minutes to get warm 😩, The light by the bathroom flickered off and on, So we opted to turn it off. They claimed to have coffee service at 6:30 in the morning. They did the first night we were there the second night no coffee 6:30, 7:30 8:30 or 10 🙄🙄 we finally found out that the person making the coffee called in sick. Nobody else knew how to make coffee. My wife and I previously stayed at the Ballard in Santa Ynez. We are extremely disappointed at our experience this time. The service is non existent, the facilities have definitely aged. The “included breakfast “ was minimal on the first day of our stay. On the second day, there was NO breakfast without any explanation provided. No coffee, no one at the front desk.
