5 out of 5 Stars! Excellent Place – I would first like to start off by saying in response to the last few reviews that this place was exceptionally clean, and any truth of a dirty restaurant is untrue. The food was freshly prepared and never frozen. They did have a freezer section so that you could take home their food and prepare it yourself, but all restaurant food is prepared fresh. I can see exactly why they sell food to take home because it was a refreshing assortment of great foods. I am from Montana and my fiancé and ... read more
1 OUT OF 5 stars :(((((((( dissapointment – With a heavy heart....I am still sad to say this restaurant was a complete and utter LET DOWN. After watching Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives, I was convinced this place would be great. To my disgust, everything was frozen and extremely old. They had old food in deep freezers. I still decided to try something anyway. I ordered the corned beef sandwhich (the worst I've ever had in my life). I even bought a big batch of baked cookies. They also came from the freezer. They tasted at leas... read more
Just Plain Filthy! – Firstly, I could not believe how filthy the place was. Absolutely atrocious. The overall demeanor of the restaurant was completely unattractive, from the laziness of the waitresses, the inability of the food preparers to speak English and prepare the food, the arguments and loudness amongst themselves, the owner screaming at them, et cetera. Apparently, a heavy jewish clientelle attend regularly and enjoy it just fine. Not my cup of tea. I, truly, am on the verge of reprtin g this establishment to the de... read more
The Place Was Filthy...... – I hesitate to give it even one star. The place was a disaster from the loudmouth and rude waitress to the stale bread and pathetic cold bitter soup. No kidding. I was about to throw up. Seriously. I don't see all these reviews as being real. My experience is real and real disgusting. Not for me. I went to a different deli and had much better luck. although, New York Deli news also had cold food. Zaidy'sd is a bit better. In all three, if you speak spanish, you should be right art home. If only th... read more
The best reuben sandwich I've ever had – For many years, my parents have been huge fans of The Bagel Deli. Dragging my siblings and I down to Denver to stock up on gefilte fish (did I spell that right?), bagels, lox, cream cheese, Dr. Browns soda, and much more that the deli has to offer. Now, as an adult living in Denver, I've found a new appreciation for The Bagel Deli. It's on my way home from work, so stopping in for a reuben sandwich & a slice of carrot cake to go is always tempting. Upon walking in the door, you can he... read more
The best traditional kosher style Jewish Deli in Denver – The Bagel Deli is the Jewish deli of my youth and has the most autherntic atmosphere of what a true Jewish deli should be for my taste. A corned beef should be brisket, not cheap corned round. The focus is on high quality sandwiches and traditional kosher style home made foods - blintzes, stuffed cabbage, knishes, matzo ball soup, chopped liver, latkes, kasha, etc.. They have some of the best deli sandwiches in the city, with the Ruben sandwich being outstanding. Sinc... read more
The Best! – I've been to many a deli in the Denver region, and none of them can compete with the bagel deli. For authentic New York style deli foods, you can't beat it. You certainly can't beat their reuben. It's big enough to feed two!
