The Back Eddy is my favorite place to get away with my family or alone with my husband on the peninsula. The fishing is amazing, the accommodations, the views, noises, and comfortable cabins make the stay so amazing. Tamesha and Brent who are the new owners, are very helpful and are always willing to give recommendations. They make our time at the Back Eddy so much fun.
The back eddy is an amazing place to stay right on the Kenai river with good fishing just down the hill. Have been there in the past and just since the new owners took over they have really added more commodities and updated all the cabins. Really a once in a lifetime place to stay.
I have been lucky enough to stay at the Back Eddy the last 3 of the last 4 years for the Sockeye run. It is a great place with far more amenities than your average Kenai Fish Camp. My wife and I stayed in the "King" cabin which is a spacious apartment above the garage. It's super clean, well decorated, and well equipped for doing your own cooking. We stayed in the Coho Cabin at The Back Eddy and it was perfect for our fishing trip. Cozy, comfortable, and right on the beautiful Kenai River with easy access for fishing. The owners were wonderful—responsive to anything we needed and always checking in to make sure our stay was great. The owners can even help book your fishing trips. We’re already planning our next trip and plan on staying at The Back Eddy!
We absolutely loved our stay! It was quiet, cozy, clean, and a perfect spot on the river. The owners were super helpful & got us set up with companies to do white water rafting and flying out to fish with the bears. We will be back to The Back Eddy!
