I’ve lived in the Sycamore and while the apartment itself is nice aesthetically, living here has been disappointing overall, especially for the price point (almost $2,400/month). Since moving in, there has been a major silverfish problem, especially in the bathroom. For a community charging this much, pest issues like this shouldn’t be ongoing. I want to say this review will be honest and based on my entire experience at Avenue on Oakland. When my husband and I initially moved in, within the first few days we noticed roaches. I contacted management and they were barely interested in getting the issue resolved.I never heard back from the property manager on site or the assistant property manager. Edit 4/11/26: updated from 3 stars to 4. I was upset about my dog walking across broken glass for the second time in a year due to inconsiderate residents. This ultimately isn't the fault of the complex and shouldn't have skewed my rating. It was cleaned up reasonably quickly which is all anyone can expect. We have lived here for about a year. We have lived here for about a year. There is a lot to like about the community. It is very close to excellent bike and walking trails. It is modern and reasonably well maintained. Unfortunately, there are some major down sides too.
