there is a great prayer room before the toilets
I visited The Atrium at Federation Square in July 2026 for the Christmas in July Markets, and it ended up being such a fun way to spend a winter afternoon in Melbourne. It’s incredibly easy to get to, sitting just behind Federation Square and only a couple of minutes walk from Flinders Street Station. We were at the ACMI exhibitions and found out there was a prayer room next door. It's very close to the toilets as they are all in the same hallway so taking wudu is easy. The room itself is very clean and tidy. The Qibla is already arranged by a prayer mat. The prayer mats themselves are clean and even padded so the experience was comfortable. There is a small window so that's good. If you are a sister I suggest you pray close to the door because just based on the Qibla, brothers that come in will have to go in front since ... read more
