This company has agents who prey on the elderly. My father has obvious dementia and one of their agents **** ****** pushed his way into my Dad's home and convinced him to sign paperwork changing his insurance. (my father was state employee and has the better insurance with state plan) It took months to change back and I am amazed by their unethical business practices.
Business response:
Dear Ms. ********** I am sorry your father has some cognitive impairements, but our agents do not prey on the elderly. They contact people that have submitted a mailer to us for information and the agents may not be able to recognize dementia in someone that they have just met. We always ask the customer if they have someone that helps with these decisions so that we can include them in the discussions. There are plans that can enhance the state employee benefits and do not disrupt their coverage. I am not sure what process ... read more
Tag employee knocked on my door, by coincidence on the same day, that I received my letter that I was eligible to take ******** part B. I was so elated and happy with the conversation that I had with this gentleman. However, the man never returned my phone calls. I called for three weeks and waited to file for my ******** part. B, because I couldnt remember something. He had told me that I should be leery of when Im signing up. He didnt care about my situation at all. When I googled the company and read the hundreds of revie... read more
Business response:
******************, I am very sorry to hear of this situation with an agent. If you would like to submit the agent name and phone number that he provided, I will take the necessary steps to address this situation and provide the agent with additional training. You may contact me directly at ********************** Although, the agents are independent, we do not condone this way of doing business and will address it properly. Thank you.
I signed on with TAG 4/1/22 as a brand new to insurance agent. The training program and support from my uplines and peers has been impeccable! I don’t feel that working for TAG is just a job. It’s a life long career in the making. When you love what you do, it never feels like work. I spend my days helping others and giving back to the senior community. The business model is one of great character and so are the agents. This is a company I can say I am proud to be a part of and a family like no other.
Business response:
Thank you, *****. We are glad to have you with us and you are family!
I signed on with this group of scam artist. it was the worst misatke i made in life
Door to door, agents are advising elders that they are there to check on their medicare insurance, calling member services, having the member to grant permission for them to speak, then changing the agent of record. Many members have no idea what AOR is and view you as a professional with no ill intent. Seemingly only out there to "steal" commission. Looks like there will be lots of rapid disenrollments and grievances taking place. A poor way to conduct business, misrepresentation, laws broken, and just completely unethical!... read more
Attended dinner seminar and director made statement about differences between Advantage Plan vs. Medigap which was very misleading and incorrect. He said that the Advantage plans do not require medical necessity to be covered but the other one does require medical necessity and was subject to Medicare guidelines. Both Advantage and Medigap plans require medical necessity for Medicare to cover a service. Integrity is somewhat shady. Another encounter with prior meeting gave incorrect information and took several weeks before ... read more
Business response:
Thank you for your post. Medicare Advantage Plans do not follow medical underwriting like Medicare Supplements. Of course, all services must be medically necessary for either type to pay. If you could provide the name of the person conducting the meeting we will contact them to be sure that they are making this clear to the audience. Thank you, again.
I think the complaints that have been listed and reported to the BBB on this company are frivolous at best. Those people are being very petty. The Assurance Group has conducted itself very professionally from my experiences. Keep up the good work!
Meeting agents face to face with a mask. Walking on my moms house to find a agent face to face with my 85 year old mother. How is this possible selling insurance at this age of Covid 19 and not having a care of the person who's buying by disrespting from using a mask. I'm sure this wasn't the first time of this agent, not wearing one. This has to change. I will keeping a look to see if my mother contacts this virus and hold them responsible. C: ###-###-####
Business response:
I apologize if one of our agents failed to wear a mask. They are instructed to ask the consumer if they prefer that a mask be worn during any presentation. Without the agent name, I can't be sure that it was one that represents our company. Thank you.
OUTRAGED that this company sent 2 sales reps to my Mother's home this week, NEITHER OF WHICH WERE WEARING A FACE COVERING. My Mother has dementia and is on a waiting list for her Covid-19 vaccine. "The Assurance Group" is putting our SENIORS LIVES AT RISK just trying to get business! Disgusted at their business practices, ignorance over CDC guidelines and overall lack of concern for their client base!
Business response:
Ms. ******, I apologize for this interaction with any of our agents. We instruct our agents to wear masks if meeting face to face with clients and to offer other options for meetings such as telephonic or virtual meetings. If you can provide agent names I will address this issue directly with them. This is not how we market and we will take action if you will provide the information. We appreciate your comments so that we have an opportunity to correct such actions. Thank you.
