For the last few years I’ve come here for a haircut. The few barbers I’ve interacted with have been great. It’s worth mentioning that what I’ve learned about the owner, Eric, is that he’s a great guy who takes pride in providing a needed service for his community and goes out of his way to take care of people. 🤙
I went in for a very basic haircut and came out with a disaster. I have a simple men’s crew cut and wanted a little off the top and to clean up around the ears. I ended up with a choppy clipper lines and marks, there was no blending on the sides. There is a clear line on each side of my head where he stopped the clippers. The worst part is he nicked a part and now looks like there’s a bald patch. I also asked to thin out the top to reduce the weight and he never did. I have given this place so many chances and they have to be the worst place to get a haircut. They are pleasant but have absolutely no ability to provide a professional haircut or anything that resembles what you request. I will never go back after trying nearly all of their barbers, many several times. You can give yourself a better haircut or trim with a super dull set of clippers blindfolded. Three complaints after several haircuts both at Willits and at Carbondale their ability to listen and cut your hair as you wish doesn’t happen. Scheduling is also a problem I arrived a little early at Willits no one was there, the stylist was seated outside on her cellphone until a few minutes after my appointment. At Carbondale I sat waiting for 40 minutes after my appointment. Despite asking for any of the barbers one packed up and left.
