One day of my favourite shops in the area! Great brands with a wide variety. Good place to buy gifts as well as they have a lovely jewelry selection.
I’ve had multiple experiences visiting this downtown Cambridge store with friends who are people of colour, and it’s been upsetting to witness how differently they’re treated. While I was able to browse freely as a white woman, my friends were closely watched and followed by staff each time we visited. It created an uncomfortable and unwelcoming atmosphere, to the point where they no longer feel comfortable going there. I was hesitant to leave this review, but this is the second time I’ve had a similar experience, and after seeing other reviews echo the same sentiment, I feel it’s worth sharing. Elegant retail doesn’t excuse dismissive or condescending customer service. A simple question was met with a blunt response, followed by laughter from another staff, which felt unprofessional and unnecessary.
