We were terrified to let our 12 yr old trans son stay at a treatment center for so many reasons. But our kid needed a tremendous amount of help after he was in the hospital. We are so grateful for The Arrow House!! I think given the circumstances and where he is now, it is the best possible outcome. Our Son was there for a little over 2 months and is doing SO well now!! If you are thinking about putting your children into a residential treatment center this is the last place on Earth I would suggest. Waking up in the morning everyday was a living nightmare and the staff there are frankly rude and unlikable. This place creates an overwhelming sense of resentment to anyone who steps through the door. The therapists do a poor job of validating client's emotional and physical needs, as well as scaring clients into thinking that if they relapse or make a mistake they will be sent right back here... read more
So I was here 30 years ago. (1994) Touchstones. This place changed my life at the time. Love to see all the positive reviews on here, and to know this same place is still helping young adults achieve better lives.
The Arrow House truly helped not 1, but 2 of my kids heal and come to a place of recovery. Their approach of looking at the family unit versus just the young person in treatment has given me and my family hope and the tools nessesary to rebuild the love and trust that we have for one another.
