The Apprenticeshop, founded in 1972, is an educational non-profit committed to inspiring personal growth through craftsmanship, community, and traditions of the sea. With 3 floors of boatbuilding and a publicly accessible waterfront, we run a variety of programs that continue to keep traditional maritime activity alive in Rockland, Maine, including year-round boatbuilding apprenticeships, youth and adult sailing, and skill-based workshops. once upon a time....
Friendly place to visit. Bluegrass band playing in shop while I was there. Had our sailboat tied off nearby.
Saw rowboats being made by Craftsmen and placed an order immediately.
