ZERO STARS Our 12 y/o German Shepherd Dog was in good general health when I took him to the Animal Neurology Center in St. Louis on May 21, 2025 for evaluation of weakness in his hind quarters and an unsteady gait. Previous x-rays hadn’t shown any hip dysplasia or other mechanical issue. After examining him Dr. Majors told me he would need an MRI of the spine along with a chest x-ray and lab work for pre-procedure screening. I informed her he had some liver impairment (past enzyme level elevation) and their lab work demonstr... read more

We highly recommend Dr. Wininger and the Animal Neurology Center (ANC). Our eleven year old Bassett Hound, Dutchess, was referred to ANC for surgery for a severely ruptured disc in her neck. Dr. Wininger was straightforward in our discussions and detailed with probabilities and what we could expect during and after recovery. Dutchess stayed a total of two n... read more

Thank you Dr. Wininger! Pickle, our 4 year old French Bulldog, had a follow up visit for his second spinal surgery today. He’s doing great! He was diagnosed with IVDD this past summer. This recovery was much easier than the first surgery. Pickle resumed walking a day later. We hope we never see you again, but we are grateful to know we have you and your beautiful staff. I have no way to thank this absolutely AMAZING place! EVERYONE from the incredible Staff to Doc Wininger, for all they have done to help my Dog. She is on the mend and we have a way to go, but with out ANC and my main Vet (Elm Point Animal Hospital, Doc Little), her recovery wouldn't be possible. Not only have you started her recovery to save her life, but mine as well!! Doc Wininger is so very kind and most importantly, when he examined my dog and came up with a game plan for her care, I %1000 knew he REALLY cared for her a... read more
