We booked a higher-priced suite at The Anchorage specifically because it was described as having a king bedroom. Travelling with a toddler who naps during the day and goes to bed early, a separate enclosed bedroom was not a luxury for us, it was essential and had we not needed this we would have spent far less on a different room or stayed elsewhere. We had two nights in a lovely large room with balcony at the Anchorage. The room was very comfortable, the vibe chilled and most older people ( it was midweek in school time!) The pools are nice, the restaurant excellent though the menu is a bit narrow if you are staying more than a single night. Wine list is good and the maitre’d may be the most laid back I’ve met. He’s v pleasant however. Service in the restaurant should be much more attentive particularly outdoors. We felt forgotten at times.
