Been for a quick beer. Have to say outside tables near door had not been cleared of leftover food and absolutely stunk. Looks like paintwork and maintenance to woodwork needs sorting truthfully needs looking at. Thought I would sit inside. No a group of very loud men swearing. Staff ignoring the abusive language. Beer was fine. Only had a pint and went home. Surprised as normally the place is quite good.
Attended the Anchor for a birthday celebration, parking is a bit restricted but the venue is great. Nice location on the waterfront, pleasant and friendly staff, good facilities and well set out.
One of my favourite spots to visit during the spring and summer. I usually come for a pint and love sitting outside, enjoying the marina views, boats, and beautifully maintained seating area, with lots of flowers adding even more charm to the atmosphere. The prices are reasonable, the staff is friendly. The only downside is that the tables in the first row by the marina, with the best views, aren’t always available. Great view, wonderful staff, only Sunday roast on Sunday (duh) but multiple protein choices. Lamb and parsnips were excellent.
