This place has great beer and a friendly, helpful staff. We had a flight, and our favorite beer were the Vienna, and the Hausbier. There's also plenty of space to sit inside and outside. During our visit, there was a live band signing all the hits.
We were staying in Harrisonburg for the first stop of a long road trip. Stopped at Alpine Goat before heading to the hotel for some beer and dinner after a long drive. Beautiful barn and landscape. Friendly bartenders. Lots of outdoor space for the kids to burn off some energy. Watched the sun set with some great beer and great food from the Wolf and Wren food truck. Would absolutely go out of my way to stop here if I am nearby again.
Why could this place not have a SINGLE outdoor trash can? The beer was great but as I was leaving both my dogs needed to potty and I walked around for 10 minutes looking for somewhere to leave it. It’s like they are looking for an excuse to kick out dogs. The view was great. The whole experience was great until the end. Do they want me to leave it inside? Waiting for an answer… And not coming back until I get an answer!
I visited this venue for the first time this past Saturday and was impressed with the space. Both the indoor and outdoor areas are expansive, parking was convenient, and the outdoor BBQ vendor was fantastic. However, the experience declined once the live music began. While the band itself was talented, the volume was excessively loud. Even when standing face-to-face, we had to scream to be heard, and communication was nearly impossible.
