Academy of Scholars a school full of beautiful black children, however ran like a prison preparation camp. Kids are glued to technology, there is no space for fun, laughter, creativity, excitement, only minimal outdoor exposure, no field trips. Leadership has changed, however as long as Benny Crane head prison guard in charge children will never be happy. Creating prisoners of our bright black children you should be ashamed of yourselves. There needs to be media attention on this.
My daughter has completed 2 years at the Academy and she will returning in August for a third. I have seen growth in her academics this past year (especially in math) and I look forward to her not making just the honor roll this coming year but the principals list. **update** My daughter completed 6th grade at AOS this past spring and has now moved on but my son will be starting Pre-K this fall.
