Disgusting state of the room - mattress was smaller than the bed base, no smoke detector and mould in the shower. Reception was supposed to be open from 2-5pm but no one there, I rang about 3 times so I could check in - no answer. Finally got an answer and was told that the combination for the room key safe was given to the gentleman when he booked - that was a lie cos if he had the combination, we wouldn’t of rang to get key. I won’t be using this place again or recommending this place. Terrible service and accommodation.
Bed was awful. Shower was disgusting. Don’t save a few dollars.
Hard to write too many things about this accommodation. Seems they never clean this motel, disgusting place. Toilets, shower, sinks were not cleaned when we came here, as it was after 5pm, reception closed, we couldnt ask anyone for help. Many stains on carpets, steam clean would fix it but never bothered.
It was nice and comfortable time in Abel Tasmania Motels
Arrived just before 1700 to find no one at reception. Called number on the door and went through to message bank, received no return call. Spoke with another guest who had a code for the safe who opened it for me to get my key. Most lights in the room didn’t work and the room smelt really mouldy and musty. Yes it’s cheap but still not worth the money.
