From day 1, I was having feeding struggles with my baby but I was determined to not give up! I saw Rachel for the first time after my 2 month old had tongue, lip, and cheek ties released. I wish I had gone here sooner! She was thorough with her examination and had many great tips and tricks to help with both breast and bottle feeding as well as pumping. I think if we had gone here from the start we would’ve had the ties diagnosed sooner and my baby would’ve been transferring milk better from an earlier age. I’m grateful for all of Rachel’s help!
I had nothing short of a wonderful experience with Abeille! Friendly and supportive staff, wonderful location, and easy scheduling. I worked specifically with Rachel for some breastfeeding issues with my newborn. She was so wonderful and gentle with our baby and encouraging and helpful to me. She helped us identify and work through feeding problems associated with a tongue tie and provided lots of follow up support until feedings were finally calm and peaceful. I could not be more grateful for our experiences with Abeille! We had the joy of working with Rachel for an in-home lactation consultation through a package with our doula. She was gentle, informative, patient, and warmed up to our family within seconds. It didn't feel like we were having a medical consultation in our home, it felt like a long-time friend giving us advice. I hesitate to write this review because I think Abeille is a wonderful resource to the community, however, I had a very poor experience and feel my experience should be a learning opportunity for the team. A week after my second son was born I scheduled with Abeille because of nipple trauma and suspected ties. I went through body work and oral ties release with my first son, so I knew the signs and wanted to be extremely proactive. My baby was gassy, tense, and very frustrated at the breast.
