We loved the 1859! It is so spacious and beautiful. Kate, the owner, was so helpful in every way. We had a tour earlier this year and then as the celebration got closer she met with us so we could see it all again. Kate is awesome! She is easy to work with, always responsive to emails and so kind. I feel like we have a new friend. We had a “Celebrate the Newlyweds” cocktail party with about 65 guests. The location is perfect! We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary at The1859. It began in the cozy outdoor courtyard with happy hour and then moved inside to the historic restored church where we had a sit-down dinner. There was a baby grand piano for our use which added to the ambiance of the evening. Kate was great to work with ahead of time. We were able to deliver our decorations the day before our event. My husband and I couldn’t be more pleased with our experience at The 1859. The venue caught our attention immediately due to its historic properties and the beautiful restoration that has been done, without fully taking away all of its historic charm (the venue still has some of the original church pews, which we loved).
