i took my boat to Thayer my gas + rpm gauge stop working and my motor was not starting right. so when I call i asked when the could look at it they said about a week so i told them i had a bass tournament that Saturday so she said bring it in today and we will look at it before then so i did .( well that never happened they told me that so i didn't go somewhere else) so call them a few days later to see if they found out anything all i was given was attitude from the woman on the phone and she said i will call you when... read more
I have purchased 2 Trackers in 8 months from Thayer's. The first one was my first boat. I had many questions and Richie took the time too explain everything I needed to know. At no point are they intimidating. Second boat was an upgrade and I still had many questions. All were answered and my mind put too ease. I worked with Richie and he was excellent to deal with. He was quick to respond and answer all of my questions, even after business hours and on weekends. He was also very accommodating and patient when I wasn’t able to get to their shop when I originally planned. Never again. Quoted $1200 for the 3yr evinrude service which is on the high side...ended up paying $1800 for the service and they didn’t even grease any of the fittings. They also replaced the hydraulic helm, “sea tested it” and I get it back and it’s leaking and full of old fluid. $3900 later and I had to redo most of the work. I don’t write reviews but there refusal to refund me anything or even return part of the helm they didn’t use is deserving. To say Thayer's Marine is an excellent dealership is an understatement! Although they're 10 hours from me, Richie and the staff make it easy. Just received my 3rd Triton from Thayer's, and I couldn't ask for anything to be better.
They have always taken care of my son Jake at the CBN dinners and recognized the passion that he has for Bass Fishing! Unfortunately this years tournaments are canceled as well as his trip to Tennessee to fish the nationals. If you guys have anything up your sleeves to cheer up my Senior who will be missing Prom and Graduation as well , I’d appreciate any ideas you might have. I just bought a brand new nitro z-19 from Ritchie and during this covid 19 virus. Ritchie and the family at Thayer’s marine took excellent care of me and my wants and needs for my new boat! Took my trade in and hooked up to my new boat and was down the road. Highly recommend Thayer marine for any boating needs! I couldn’t be happier!
