Do they cost a bit more than other places? Yes. Are they better trained and more likely to fix a problem than put a bandaid on it? Yes. My wife had a local shop "fix" her breaks three times. Each time it cost less than the quote from Thayer, but the problem always returned. She ended up spending a lot more and the problem was still there 18 months later (plus three times into a shop). Fixed by Thayer and several years passed with no issues. My grandfather and father used to say "the cheapest option often costs you the most".... read more
